Dear Business Owners, Churches, and Supporters:

 As the Janice Mitchell Isbell Academy (JMIA) enters its 9^th year, don’t’ miss out on an opportunity to show your support of the JMIA by placing an ad in this year’s yearbook.  You can do so by submitting a personal or business advertisement. A business ad provides a great opportunity to make your business known to the community and shows your support of the JMIA family.  With a personal ad, you may want to send a personal word of greetings or appreciation to your own family members, JMIA staff members, members of your organization who has done a great job, etc.  Attached is an order form for your convenience. All ad forms should be accompanied with payment (checks and money orders made payable to JMIA) and artwork. All graphics should be camera ready. Deadline for entries is April 30, 2010 and no ads will be accepted without payment.

 Thanks to all of you who have supported the Isbell Academy.  It is exciting to enter our fifth year of operation.  This fifth year could not have been a reality without the help of the community.  The school is for students who are struggling in the traditional classroom.  These students are at risk of dropping out, flunking out, or getting put out.  Our goal is to provide remediation and to return them to their regular schools.  The students will return to their regular schools with a higher self-esteem, better attitude, and lesser chance of becoming a behavioral problem within the classroom

 The Isbell Academy was formed with two purposes:  (1) Provide education services for at-risk students; and (2) Accelerate the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the students to at and/or above grade-level expectations.  The Janice Mitchell Isbell Academy (Isbell Academy) is a non-profit, tax-exempt, private, institution of learning.  Isbell Academy believes in training the whole student – intellectual, social, spiritual, and physical.  Isbell Academy admits students of any race, color, nationality, religion, and ethnic origin.  Isbell Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, national or ethnic origin, age, or physical disability in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, athletic and other school sponsored programs.
